Salary : £22444 – £24776 (Currently under review)
Hours : 36.25 hours per week (part-time - job share and flexible working considered)

We have an exciting opportunity to join our expanding team at Groundwork as an Energy Advice Officer supporting communities across Cheshire West and Chester.
Previous experience is beneficial but not essential. We’re looking for a dynamic and dedicated team member who is passionate about making a difference.

As a home-based Energy Advice Officer your role will be to provide engaging energy advice in affordable warmth, energy efficiency and water efficiency to households across Cheshire West.

The role includes home visiting, telephone advice, community engagement and connecting with local organisations and wider fuel poverty initiatives across the area. You will champion the fuel poverty cause with local stakeholders and make a key contribution to the success of Groundwork’s Green Doctor programme.

It is a unique and challenging role that gives you the chance to make a difference to people’s lives every day.

Job Purpose

Responsible for managing the needs of clients and supporting the Head of Client Experience.

The Role

· Management of clients and responsibility for their ongoing care and support with a focus on person centred care.
· Provide line management to the Client Experience team, building and maintaining a positive team ethos.
· Actively participate and contribute in objective setting and review succession planning.
· Undertake consultation to new clients, complete assessments and complete all new client’s paperwork as required.
· Carry out Care professional appraisals, one-to-one supervision, return to work meetings, support visits and competency assessments.
· Create, update and audit client care plans and assist with digital care planning.
· Identifying training needs/follow ups in respect of auditing activity.
· Assist Care professionals in completing their relevant care qualification.
· Maintain accurate client and care professional records on Home Instead software and People Planner.
· Conduct client and care professional introductions.
· Build and maintain positive relationships with potential and existing clients, their families and other professionals involved in their care.
· Carry out client reviews and action accordingly.
· Support, mentor and supervise Care professionals.
· Maintain regular contact with clients and Care professionals.
· Deputise for the Head of Client Experience as and when required.
· Any other duties as directed by your line manager.
· Participate in on-call duties as required.

Essential Criteria

· Level 3 NVQ in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
· Experience in the care sector delivering a wide range of personal care services.
· Experience of working with MAR sheets and medication in a supervisory role.
· Passion for delivering the highest quality care to our clients and helping them to live independently and happily in their own homes.
· Ability to nurture Care professionals to enable them to reach their full potential.
· Knowledge and understanding of legislation and regulations specific to Health and Social Care.
· Good communication skills with the ability to build rapport quickly.
· Must be confident to use care management technology including providing support and training to Care professionals.
· Must understand the importance of confidentiality working within current legislation.
· Good working knowledge of IT systems with experience of Microsoft Office or Google Suite and virtual communication platforms with the aptitude to learn and adopt new technologies and software where appropriate.
· Must have full driving license and means of transport if required within the territory to visit clients.
· Be organised and flexible to meet the needs of the business.

Objective

To provide a variety of non-medical services that allow clients to remain in their own homes and to enhance the quality of their life. To help clients and their families meet the challenges of ageing with dignity, pride, care and compassion.

Primary Responsibilities
· Reflect the core values of Home Instead franchise
· Contribute to a positive living environment to enhance a client’s quality of life
· Document daily activities and report any significant changes in a client’s needs or living conditions
· Maintain regular communication with line manager and office staff

Companionship Services which could include, but are not limited to:
· Offer companionship and conversation
· Monitor diet and eating
· Stimulate and encourage through a variety of activities (for example clothing selection, hobbies and crafts)
· Arrange and provide reminders for appointments, activities and outings
· Help with travel arrangements
· Organise mail and write letters
· Assist with walking (lending an arm to steady)

Mechanics and Mot Testers Wanted

Job Type : Permanent - Full Time
Salary : Salary negotiated depending on experience
Hours : 8:30am to 5:30pm Monday to Friday also possibly Saturdays 8:30am to 2:00pm

What the role entails:

We are looking for skilled mechanics and MOT testers to join our fun and friendly team. They need to be Level 3 vehicle technical and also MOT tester qualified (class 4-7) Previous experience working as a MOT tester. In-depth knowledge of MOT testing standards and procedures. Familiarity with state Health and Safety legislation. A skilled MOT tester is a thorough professional with a keen eye for detail and in-depth knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.

Key responsibilities include:

Receiving and completing work orders.

Conducting MOT tests according to Ministry standards.

Troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues.

Observing safety protocols at all times.

Rectifying faults and mechanical failures.

Conducting routine auto maintenance.

Maintaining state health and safety work standards.

Completing and presenting MOT test reports.

Advising clients on major repairs and services.
